knodel foundation launches newsletter

August 2019

The non-profit knodel foundation now provides some direct insights into the foundation’s work and its projects. A newsletter will be published twice a year to keep anyone who is interested up-to-date on developments within the foundation as well as new and existing projects.

In the first edition, the Director Patrick Knodel reports on his trip to the Ethiopian region of Wogdi to visit a project there, amongst other things. Almost 600 kilometres to the north of the capital Addis Ababa, the knodel foundation is helping the organisation "Menschen für Menschen“ to convince the local population of the benefits of a modern, more varied cultivation of food crops. Knodel’s travel report shows just how important it is to introduce new concepts sensitively and on equal terms – and closes with his vision of a change in the development work towards encouraging independent and innovative business models. By the local population, and for the local population.
