October 2019

4 days, 400 kilometres and a cumulative elevation gain of around 4,000 metres: this year’s EXPOBIKE TOUR from Erfurt to Munich was a particular challenge for the participants. Not only were the sections of the route quite ambitious, the rain never stopped either. “The toughest tour yet” said one participant, “but I wouldn’t want to miss the experience.” Feedback in the spirit of the idea behind EXPOBIKE, giving everyone involved the chance to get together and network away from the normal platforms and channels.

PANDION lined up at this year’s start with nine members of staff. The route to be covered was split into two sections: two cyclists completed the first two stages up to Erlangen, where they handed over to three new participants. A total of four members of our team completed the entire route, so that seven cyclists crossed the finishing line on Saturday.

Despite the wet roads, worn-out shoes and minor punctures, our EXPO cyclists made it to Munich safe and sound. They were welcomed on Saturday with a party to celebrate their arrival and once again officially on Monday during the EXPO REAL by our CEO Reinhold Knodel and organiser Ingo Kronenberg on the PANDION booth. “We would like to congratulate all of the EXPO cyclists on their fantastic performance and to thank them and ImmoSport e.V. for their commitment”, said Knodel. PANDION has been supporting the initiative, and the EXPOBIKE in particular, as a sponsor for many years. The ImmoSport e.V. initiative donates the proceeds of the tour to the foundation “Off Road Kids e.V.”, which takes care of homeless children in Germany.
