Who we are

PANDION AG, based in Cologne, has been involved in the development, implementation, and sale of high-quality residential and commercial projects since 2002. As an owner-managed real estate company, we develop properties at our main location in Cologne as well as in Bonn, Düsseldorf, Munich, Berlin, and Stuttgart. With a sales volume of more than €5.17 billion, including around €3.3 billion in the residential sector, we are currently planning and building around 4,000 high-quality apartments throughout Germany and developing around 200,000 m² of state-of-the-art office space under the PANDION OFFICEHOME umbrella brand. We employ a total of around 200 people at our locations in Cologne, Munich, Berlin, Stuttgart, Grünwald, Monheim, and Zossen.

 

Reinhold Knodel

Success in business is determined by a number of factors: knowledge and education, experience and instinct, an ultimately courage, acumen and luck. Reinhold Knodel owes his entrepreneurial charisma to all of these factors. He is fully trained carpenter and policeman and completed a business administration degree. His Swabian roots have had influenced him just as much as his Christian upbringing and the fact that he grew up with numerous siblings. This is the foundation on which Knodel’s visions are based, visions which are ultimately responsible for PANDION’s position among the leading companies in the sector.

Branch offices

If you want to make your mark in real-estate in German cities, you have to know how the markets work in these metropolises. Which is why it was always very important for PANDION to maintain a presence in the major cities with its own branches. We now have offices in Munich, Berlin and Stuttgart alongside our head office in Cologne to ensure the continued success of our business.

Cologne Head Office

PANDION has its headquarters in Cologne and has set architectural marks with a multitude of projects. Every Cologne resident knows the popularly christened "crane houses" in Rheinauhafen. One of them is the PANDION VISTA - the only crane house with apartments. To meet the needs of tomorrow, PANDION is also a firm partner in urban development in the state capital of Düsseldorf. For example, with PANDION PARKSIDE ONE and PARKSIDE TWO, the company has made a sustainable contribution to the "Belsenpark I" neighborhood development with over 150 residential units. PANDION will continue this urban quarter under the project name "Belsenpark II" in the coming years with further apartments as well as commercial units - highlight is an elegant mixed-use high-rise.

Berlin Branch Office

Hardly any other real estate location in Germany has experienced such a dynamic as Berlin: tourists and residents alike are fascinated by the individual neighborhood atmosphere and the flair of the cosmopolitan city. Since 2014, PANDION has been active with a steadily growing team in our Berlin office. In doing so, we set urban accents with extraordinary residential and commercial properties: whether in Friedrichshain, Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg. As part of our commitment to art and culture, the Berlin branch is particularly committed to the temporary use of real estate by art, culture and neighborhoods.

Munich Branch Office

Anyone who thinks that the real-estate market in Munich can be taken for granted is very much mistaken. Because in such sought-after surroundings in particular, you need to have your ear to the ground and weigh up the opportunities and risks. We have an asset on Munich’s real-estate market ever since 2002, based on the three “C”s: connoisseurship, communication and competence. We have already been able to create some landmarks, for example the former post office site in Neuhausen, the latest one being the development at the gateway to the new Werksviertel district in the east of Munich.

Stuttgart branch office

PANDION takes account of the increasing importance of Stuttgart as a property market and is opening its own office in Baden-Württemberg’s state capital. The green light was given for the establishment of the third PANDION branch office in January 2019. PANDION will promote the development of residential and commercial projects in and around the Swabian metropolis in future from Stuttgart. Incidentally, PANDION is returning to its owner’s roots with the first branch office “in the little country”: PANDION’s boss Reinhold Knodel is from the region.
